So my renewal invoice autogenerates... renewal for 2 years (oof!),
invoice of like $650 or better for a lousy 1Gb disk reseller cpanel
account. After the "5 8's" uptime of the past months since the
sellout, well, err...I don't think so.
So I open a billing ticket indicating I wish to cancel at the end of
my current term (next week sometime), requesting the present invoice
be cancelled accordingly.
3 days pass. It was Canada Day after all. I get several emails about
more service impacting changes of the infrastructure.
A reminder email about an unpaid invoice generates, thrilling me with
its bittersweet irony.
I reply to said email indicating the saming thing I said on the
ticket. This generates another ticket.
A day more passes. Finally an active business day. Get a human on
the new live chat. They say I need to open a billing ticket. I give
them my 5 day old ticket number. They confess the billing dept is
backlogged and willg et to it some time this week. I tell them my
renewal is dangerously close to that time window. But the real time
billing helpdesk lackey can't help me further. Ah great!
Non-empowered real time support. Woo hoo!
Next day, I get an email replying to one of the tickets.
Affordablehost cancels the hosting account immediately... not next
week on the end of the term as requested--but immediately.
Gee, good thing I migrated all my domains and cleaned em out of that
Good riddance AffordableHoser, ya dipshits!
