I added a .wav BGSOUND to my website. The code looks
<!-- --><BGSOUND ID="auIEContainer">
<BGSOUND SRC="web.wav" loop="1"><!--For IE -->
I want it to loop just once when a visitor visits. However,
if you were to click on a link on the page .... and then
return - the .wav plays again. And continues to play
each and everytime you leave and return.
Is there a way of having the .wav play only once per visit?
No matter how many times a visitor goes back and forth?
Because, if a visitor has to hear that .wav every time they
click on a link and then return - I don't want that.
p.s. lol --- please don't give me a lecture on why am I using
.wav BGSOUNDS --- and how nobody likes them. I know
the drill. I just felt this time it promotes the page.
Re: Adding .wav to site
Perhaps make it a voluntary action? A link that can be clicked to play
Or use a cookie and incorporate the sound into a script that checksthe
cookie (unreliable, sophisticated, and a pain in the neck to program).
