Threaded View

Hi there,

I've got a problem with a 301 Redirect.

Whenever I do a redirect where the old name of the file path contains
the index file in the address, the 301 redirect automatically adds the
index file to the new file path e.g.

redirect 301 /file/index.php http://www.mysite.com/newfile /

would return the result:

(the same redirect without the index.php works fine)

The question is how do I stop this happening?

You start by posting an example of your existing .htaccess file

Alternatively just search for any tutorial on them, A 301 redirect is
standard stuff.
