Do 123-reg ever answer support queries?

I emailed an urgent suppport query on Monday - no reply.

Repeated it yesterday - still no reply.

I have dozens of domains registered with them but I think I might be
moving them elsewhere if they don't have any support.

From my experience:
o they answer about 80% of support emails.
o An answer within half a week is exceptionally fast for them, over a week
is average.
o They successfully resolve less than half of the support items they answer.
o If they do respond but don't resolve the issue then submit a new support
item via their website, don't bother replying to the email they send you
because in my experience that never gets answered. (I still have one support
item outstanding for more than half a year which I'm still badgering them

I've not tried their premium rate support number ...

I'd move. In fact because their support is so incredibly slow, I am now
gradually moving my domains to another provider. I've found
domainmonster.com to be reasonably good - prompt answers to support issues,
but no doubt there are others out there which are just as good.

I had considered taking out one of their dedicated hosting packages because
(for Windows hosting) they are the cheapest I've seen, but because their
support is so dire I couldn't risk going with them.

Or bargainhosts.co.uk - who seem to have morphed into bargainhosts.com
I had a Gawd-awful series of over 90 e-mail back and forth, with none
of their support staff (all with Indian sub-continent-type names, so
we know where they were located) unable to help until their manager
came back from sick leave - after two-and-a-half months(!).  I would
have abandoned them early on but it was a customer's site.

cheap holidays page.

There's no reason not to move them right now. 123reg's site looks like
crap and the prices are very high.

Godaddy's support is decent and coms are only $8.95 per year. Well,
that's the normal price. Right now, new regs and transfers are only
$6.95 per year.
