I am trying to view a movie I have on my computer that I have transferred to
my 1 gb storage card on my audiovox 5600. The movie is in .avi format and to
transfer to the cellphone I cut and pasted it using windows explorer. It
shows up in the movie folder in the storage card as a 670mb file, but when I
try to play it on the cellphone using windows media player I get an alert
saying cannot play the file. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
TIA

Thanks for your help. the program you suggested works-still the movie is a
bit choppy and seems to miss several frames. I have never seen a movie on a
cellphone so I dont know what to expect. This movie is too choppy to really
enjoy-is this common,is it a function of the movie, the player or the
limitations of the cellphone.

Probably the limitations of the cellphone. The processor in the phone
is MUCH less capable that what you most likely have in your PC. To get
a movie to play properly on the phone, it has to be "dumbed down"
significantly in terms of bitrate.
