hi there, ive got a vaio pcg v505 ntp laptop, been having it for
almost 3 years now... nothing big problems happened untill recently i
have to reformat my vaio because of junks... after that decided to buy
a memory...

i bought from crucial, and i bought a 1gb SO DIMM memory... after
upgrade, ive tried the laptop, check it on xp, and it works perfectly
fine... after i switch off the laptop, the next day, i totally cant
turn on my vaio... no LED lights are active even plugs are in with or
without battery... the AC plug works perfectly cuz the plug has a LED
light to indicate electricity... so i dont think its the plug or the
battery... tried several methods like removing the memory, removing
battery charge drain the electricity etc... still doesnt work!!! im
very frustrated in this situation and wish to know the reason and
cause of my laptop's failure... if ever its the memory... do you
think crucial company would be responsible for its failure? or its
not a memory problem since it works on the first time ive put the
memory? very confused and wish a miracle... plz help.. tnx

Once would have been enough.

It's not a given that the failure has anything to do with the memory,
especially given that it worked after you installed the memory. You may
have done some damage (static electricity or something else) when
installing it that didn't show up immediately. Not withstanding what
you said, the fact that the light on the power supply or even the laptop
is on doesn't mean that all is well with the power supply, I'd like to
try a different supply (may or may not be easy/possible). Until there
is more information available, it's not possible to say exactly what the
cause is.
