I have a Dell E520 with Windows XP. Can I download an update to XP Media
Edition?
I want to run Media Center tv tuner.

No, Windows Media Center is a separate OS. I assume you have XP Home. You
can buy the OEM version from www.newegg.com for around $120, but it requires
a reformat and clean install, so you have to backup everything and reinstall
all your apps.

If all you want is TV, you can also look at other programs that will run on
XP Home (or Pro). I'm partial to Snapstream's BeyondTV
(www.snapstream.com). It doesn't do everything MCE does, as it just does
TV, but it doesn't have a lot of the limitations of MCE. You have no tuner
limit and you can have separate lineups for each tuner (ex. one on cable
from the wall, one on a cable box, one on a Satellite, etc).
