I have tried following all the instructions on the media centre home page,
with respect to setting up the programs, and I have even enabled ports as
requested by the xbox, but am having problems getting the
www.xbox.com/pcsetup instyall prgram to recognise my xbox, it keeps
complaining that there is a firewall in place even though I have configured
the firewall as required.

I am using a zoom adsl wirlesss router, does anyone have any experience of
this problem.

I have even tried disabling the norton firewall but the install program
still fails complaining about a firewall, does anyone know hopw to configure
the firewall on the zoom adsl router ? or is anyone else having problems

Some firewalls will block traffic even when disabled. Have you configured
your firewall following the steps on the below page?
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/extender/setup/firewall/norton.mspx.
If you still encounter this message after making these changes, please post
the contents of your DvcConn.log file.

Regarding your router's firewall - because the PC and Xbox 360 are both on
the LAN side of your router, there's no need to make changes to the firewall
settings on your router (the firewall restricts traffic crossing between the
WAN/ADSL side and your home network).
