can a ws03 gateway server be setup to track url requests from domain users ?

something like (username, datetime, url)

probably would need a sql svr db. could get complex if want to alert on
certain urls and create reports.

if bad idea to roll your own, is there a 3rd party solution that does this ?

Any HTTP proxy with logging will do. ISA Server is a good one.

I knew ISA Server could filter URLs ... but track them ? On a large scale
with history ? Are you sure ?

ISA 2004 can do a whole plethora of reports and automate the process.
Probably the best thing for you to do is to try it yourself. You can
download it for free to use for I believe 120 days. The learning curve on
ISA 2004 is pretty fast and much better than ISA 2000 in my opinion. The
link below shows how it can track URLs. There are also dedicated ISA
newsgroups where you can post your ISA questions. --- Steve
