I want my new windows mobile phone to be how my pocket pc was
working.....I want it to active sync my outlook over ip w/out an
exchange server.

The new active sync 4.1 does not let me sync over ip...is that right?
I can't find the option anywhere. Is there another program to replace
the function microsoft took out? did they take it out??

thank you!

Can't be done with Windows Mobile 5. They *did* take it out, for security
reasons.

AS4 is pretty new, so not as far as I know, no. What's the scenario where
this is critical to you?

I want to sync the outlook on my pc over the ip network. I'm just my
pc and don't need an exchange server. the sync solution the phone
company uses is slower than active sync (when it was working ok on my
ipaq) - messages are delayed where activeync was instant.

I'm not so much concerned about security with this particular setup. I
just want the two talking again.

Thank you
