I have recently gotten a ipaq rx1950 and when i try to run the
sunchronization between my computer at it I get the "synchronization cannot
be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the
problem persists, see the microsoft activesync troubleshooter in microsoft
activesync help on your desktop computer" message. I have fixed up the TCP
and UDP ports in the firewall. I have tried reinstalling activesync. I have
also tried to turn off the virsus protection software but nothing seems to
work. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Hi,
Did you try disabling the firewall temporarily to identify if it is the
problem?

Hi

Thanks for the advice, I did as you said and it worked. But does that mean I
have to turn the firewalls off very time I need to synchronize? I use Kerio
and Blackice as firewalls.

Hi,
No you don't have to turn the firewalls off. Just take a look at
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/tshoot-as4x.htm item #1. Then
you have the info on how to configure the firewall to allow it to work.
