I am have a Sprint PPC 6700 and XP SP2 and ActiveSync 4.1 (and tried
4.2 as well).

I have read previous posts regarding this and tried it all:

remove all data from outlook.pst and put in some dummy entries to make
sure it was not too big
stopped firewall
stopped virus (auto-protect/Norton)
selected Calendar only or Contacts only, etc. to sync

After connecting just fine, Microsoft ActiveSynch will go for 5 to 10
minutes, then stop with the above error.

I appreciate any insights. I used to run HotSynch with my Treo. Could
they be incompatible?

Hi Malcom,

Have you tried running Detect & Repair feature available under the Help menu
in Outlook to scan the pst file. Additionally, you can also try running the
Scanpst utility to check for any corruption in the PST file. Do a search
for scanpst.exe on your computer and run a check on the pst file.
