I have a sync problem with my smartphone and WMDC. The PC recognizes the
smartphone, but there's no real data transfer for calendar, contacts, e-mail
etc. It use to work fine for months, but it suddenly stopped. On the
phone-screen there's the message: waiting for network, when I try to
connect/synchronize. Who can help me to solve this?

Theo, this is no help - I'm just piggybacking on your query. I have a Mio
smartphone that was synchronizing just fine with my Toshiba notebook (Vista
Home Premium) until a while ago until it stopped, like yours. The situation
is similar to yours but not exactly: the notebook recognizes the Smartphone,
but then proceeds to claim that synchronization has taken place although it
has not.

One thing did change at this time: I bought an iPod Touch and synchronized
my Outlook with the iPod. Could this have affected my settings for
synchronization under the Window Mobile Center?

Hi Schwartzberger,

We have the same problem. I find out that my new antivirus/anti spam
software is the quilty one. When I de-install the software the problem is
over. Now the supplier is working out a solution. When everything is working
fine I'll let you know.
