Can you try deleting the Exchange account on the computer, then
reconnect to it - this will refresh all the data files and bring down
the information again, which will hopefully flush out any possible
corruption.

I get the same error message if I create a contact, appointment, or
task on my pda with a note in the notes field. I can create the
contact, appointment, or taks with a note in the notes field on my
desktop and it WILL sync with my pda. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you synchronizing to Exchange, or via ActiveSync on the desktop?

Rob,
I am sync'ing with Active Sync 4.1 to the desktop. My device is a
UTStar Xv6700 pda cell phone using Windows mobile 5.0. The issue seems
to be something with MY computer because I can get it to sync fine on
my wife's computer using the same install files for Active Sync and
Outlook 2002. I have even rebooted my computer after disabling
everything but the standard Microsoft services (from MSConfig window).

Can you try running Help -> Detect and Repair in Outlook, then
reinstall ActiveSync.
