suggestion for password management tool? Thorsten Duhn 04-15-2006

Hello,

I'm looking for an app to carry all my password with me on my
smartphone (WM2003) as I have them collected on my desktop.

On desktop I use KeePass, and they only have an outdated
PocketPC variant to offer, and I'm not able to port that to
smartphone ;-)

So there are two options, do some export/import stuff to
manually synchronize between desktop and smartphone - or switch
to another desktop tool together with the smartphone app.

I already worked out the KeePass XML export with a basic XSL
transformation, so I'm able to create any text format needed,
like CSV for example. Apps to work that way should be at least
"eWallet" or "SplashID". Both also feature a desktop app, so
maybe a switch away from KeePass is an option. But not my
favorite (because I also wanna have access from work to my
KeePass collection)...

Are there other recommendable applications? Any experiences
with the these (the mentioned or some other recommended)?

Thanks,
Thorsten

I use an Excel spreadsheet, password protected using the encryption
function of Resco Explorer.

You might check out Ilium Software's eWallet. Been using it a few months
now; keeps my passwords encrypted and synched between my PC and MPx220
smartphone. Nice features; import from many existing password managers and
if yours is not listed, can also import from an Excel spreadsheet.

How do you import from an Excel spreadsheet? I just downloaded the trial
version of eWallet, and I can't find a mechanism for doing that.

Thanks.

Never mind. I got back on line and found the separate import tool.
