3.7.1 on solaris 9 operating system. We have replaced Sun's version of ssh
with our standard deployed version of 3.7.1p2
The problem that I am having is that I am not able to use the following
entry in the hosts.deny to prevent access and send us email:
ALL: ALL: spawn (/bin/mailx -s "%s rejected host %h" root) &: DENY
this line works correctly with the solaris 9 version of ssh and works from
the hosts.allow file too but not from the hosts.deny file.
Any idea why this line is not working in a solaris 9 environment with ssh
3.7.1 from withinthe hosts.deny file ?
From what I have read, solaris 9 supports tcp wrappers via the libwrap
library. What are the equivalent libraries in OpenSSH ?
Thanks in advance.
Re: tcpwrapper question in OpenSSH
Well, the $10,000 question is if you built your own OpenSSH with
libwrap enabled, and supplied the path to the installed libwrap that
came with Solaris 9. The default IIRC is to not have libwrap support
