hi all,

i have a network with several machines that need to be
accessed regulary, e.g. ssh -l queryuser date
without the need for a password to be provided.

i copied the pub keys and all works fine except for the
machine itself and the its cluster node. in that case
ssh keeps asking for a password. is this normal behaviour
or a configuration problem? i both tried localhost and its
own ip address, the result is the same.

tnx for all replies.

Re: ssh login without pasword on sun cluster

There may be some redundancy in the command that I use but it works well
for me.  This allows me to login as username with my authentication

ssh -2 -l username -i /home/username/.ssh/publickeyfile

ssh -2
#uses protocol 2

-l username
#login as username

-i /home/username/.ssh/publickeyfile
#use the key in the public key file
#login as username at
