note: This is my first time experience with SSH so I should be
considered a newbie.
I have Googled myself to death trying to find the solution to this
problem without any luck so I am asking for your help. I can't find
any direct references to password aging on sunfreeware.com or
I have installed and configured the pre-compiled version of OpenSSH
from Sunfreeware.com following the directions in the "Installing
OpenSSH Packages for SPARC and Intel/Solaris 8" document. The version
is 3.6.1p1 on a freshly installed Solaris 8. The optional tcp_wrappers
has not been installed.
The installation and configuration went smoothly and things seem to be

The documention wasn't clear to me, is /etc/shadow file support a
default or is it not compiled in the pre-compiled package.
Help would be greatly appreciated!

I hadn't indended to get into the business of Solaris packages (the 4
AIX packages are enough work) but I have a patched tree and a SPARC
It's configured with PAM and ssh-rand-helper.
