Servers supporting IDEA cipher

Threaded View

I urgently need an SSH 2.0 compliant server supporting IDEA cipher, but
can't find any.
Does anyone now of such software? Please help!
I'm a student and was given a task to write SSH client with IDEA support,
but at the moment I have no server to connect to.

I'm very sorry, if this post is in any way offtopic or breaks rules on this

Best regards,

A quick grep of my ssh directory shows that lsh used to support IDEA:

    * Deleted IDEA support.

A vintage version of lsh from before this date might serve your purpose,
alternatively you could re-import those changes into a current version
(I don't know how hard that would be).

The old versions appear to be archived here: /

I would also be very careful about where you run an old version if you
choose to do that: lsh had a remotely exploitable security problem
in the last year or two, versions that old are probably vulnerable.
I would run it on a firewalled host (or, better, listening only on the
loopback on a single-user box).

Not at all, it's perfectly on topic here.

Thank your very much, it should work. I have downloaded sources of the
version you pointed and several other newer versions. I've noticed that
version 1.3.4 is the last containing files with IDEA implementation. I'll
have to get down to compiling it.

Once again thanks a lot.
