- rdist via ssh on Solaris

The snail book says to use the -P option but there is no -P option for rdist
on Solaris. Solaris 10 has some options for using Kerberos but not ssh.
Solaris has its own ssh so it seems a bit odd that Sun does not support
rdist over ssh.
Is the only solution to compile the GNU rdist on Solaris? I'd prefer to use
Solaris' rdist if possible for support reasons.
Re: rdist via ssh on Solaris
The guy at my work who uses rdist (on Solaris and other things)
has compiled one (v6.1.4 ?) that did not ship with the OS. This
gives him the same version everywhere and might also deal with
what you've seen.
