I'm having a problem with Putty on my Win XP machine, trying to connect to a
Redhat 7.3 box running OpenSSH 3.1p1.
Everytime I try to connect, I get the putty black box coming up and it says
"SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_3.1p1" .. if I type or click anywhere in the box the
connection is lost.. I have tried using SSH1 and SSH2 keys that were
generated on the Redhat box and are known to work, and I've tried using
Puttygen but get the same results..
On the Redhat server I get the error "sshd: Did not receive
identification string from (my ipaddress)"..
Does anyone have any ideas?
