I'm really newbie in security questions, I have installed a Linux Debian
3.0r1 machine and I need to acces to it from a Windows box.
My question is: How secure is this connection?

My Linux machine has installed the telnetd-ssl daemon and I connect from
PuTTy with this basic options:
IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port: 23
x Telnet

Can I make it more secure? How?

Since PuTTY doesn't support SSL telnet, your connection is not
encrypted in any way.  You can make it more secure by installing
openssh on your Linux machine and using PuTTY with the SSH protocol.
