when I'm at work I'm using constantly (with permission) my virtual
server and doing some *nix stuff.
It worked well until the network team changed the proxy so you have to
authenticate yourself before you can connect.
The proxy is as you can see in the subject "ms isa server 2006". Yeah I
know..no need to diss me for that. It wasn't my decision.
My vs is listening on port 443 for ssh. Whenever I try to connect with
putty now to my server I get the following error message:
'Der ISA Server erfordert Autorisierung, um die Anforderung durchführen
Which translates to sth like "ISA server requests authorization to
execute your query".
Putty is configured with HTTP-proxy plus username & password. The IP and
the port of the proxy are correct.
I used several other ssh clients, none of them worked. I installed
python and NTLMaps and same result. Browsing through the logs of NTLMaps
HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( Der ISA Server erfordert
Autorisierung, um die Anforderung durchführen zu können. Der Zugriff auf
den Webproxyfilter wird verweigert. )
Via: 1.1 ISAPROXY
CONNECT xx.xx.xx.xx:443 HTTP/1.1
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg,
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
*** Sending Fake NTLM header with Msg1...Done.
*** There must be no body to send.
*** Waiting for message 2 from remote server...
*** Got remote server response header.
*** Remote server header:
HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( Access Denied )
Via: 1.1 ISAPROXY
Can anybody help me with this? I've no clue. Asking the networking team
is no good as they're not totally aware what they're actually doing
(Hiring policy of my company is pretty strange) and I would end up once
Sorry for this rather long posting.
