Hello all,

Is there a way to change the default location of the
config file in OpenSSH for  windows?   I  tried  in-
stalling OpenSSH in a directory other than

  C:\Program Files\OpenSSH

but it still looks for its config in

  C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\etc\ssh_config

Check out the mklink command. It creates symbolic links or junctions.

Thanks.  It would be a good workaround if I had Win-
dows 7, but I am interested in using OpenSSH the way
it's meant to be, and the main  problem  is  that  I
can't find where its config-file-searching algorithm
is documented.

However, I found that it is  also  possible  to  put
have the config file at:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\.ssh\config

where  'config'  is  not  a  directory  but the file
itself.  This works  with  the  version  of  OpenSSH
downloaded from:

   http://sshwindows.sourceforge.net/download /
(then go to "Binary Installer Releases")
