I am seeing the above message in logs.
System: solaris 8,
It appears to occur when a user has a malformed entry in
.ssh/authorized_keys. This can be caused by using an editor
that does line wrapping, when adding a public key.
The connecting user see the session close, with no information on
what went wrong. If using "-v", the output shows that host based
authentication failed, and that public key and password
authentication are still to be tried. Then the session abruptly
This seems buggy. At least the connecting user should get some hint
as to the problem.
