- connect to WS-FTP SSL server

I've run into a situation where, on a Linux (or BSD) machine, I need to
download some files securely from a WS-FTP server.
This server does support WS-FTP's SSL scheme and that's what they want
us to use. In fact their solution is to use Windows and their client.
Obviously this is unacceptable as I need to automate downloads in a
shell script on Linux.
Is this even possible using ssh or some other software?
Can anyone describe such a connection? i.e. the ports/tunneling etc.
Many thanks in advance
Re: connect to WS-FTP SSL server
Take a look at M2Crypto, my Python crypto/SSL toolkit. Comes with FTP/TLS
client-side functionality which you can program. (Server, too, actually.)
SSH and FTP/TLS aren't interoperable.
