I've gone through a lot of pains to get this thing to work right, and it
took two reinstalls to do it. I would avoid this model like the plague.
Driver issues were driving me nuts. When I buy a new machine the first thing
I do is upgrade all the drivers. They show 65 different "V2000" models, and
none of them showed mine, a V2135US. I got that number off of their HP Total
Care software but that was after the fact.
So I went to the one that just said "V2000" model. Christ they had half
dozen different drivers for this and that. I suspect I installed the
Broadcom WLAN drivers when I had an Intel wireless nic installed. The sound
was all fucked up and every time I booted up it would get stuck in a boot up
loop with some message about the NIC drivers not connecting and "check your
cable" bullshit. A bios update cured that.
Anyway a lot of bullshit to go through for a new machine and their website
for updating drivers is a convoluted fucked up mess. I've been building and
working on computers for 15 years and know my shit, I solved the problem but
for anyone else less knowledgeable it would be a real lemon.
Go buy a Dell or Gateway,,hahaha....
