I would logon as a regular user and then use runas with administrator
credentials to use filemon and regmon [free from SysInternals] to see where
access is being denied and then make the permissions adjustment you need and
try again. Start filemon with runas just before you try to use the
application and close it as soon as it fails and look in the log for access
denied entries to a folder/file path or registry path. This often works but
some software simply will not work as a regular user due to the way it was
written [poorly]. You also may want to contact the publisher to see if they
