Hi.

I'm looking for a small computer, I want a keyboard, screen (natch),
pcmcia slot for wireless, ethernet socket, comms port (if possible),
smaller than a laptop, real battery with at least 1 hrs capacity.
Screen about 10''... Linux compatibility, if possible.

I had a Zaurus some years ago, but the present one is too like a PDA,
which I consider to be a toy. I got an iPaq, but it loses its
installed programs when it runs out of juice.

oqo 01, i think its called.

http://www.oqo.com/

1 ghz cpu
20 gb hhd
win xp
keyboard
usb
ethernet(via a an extension cable)

it fits in the palm of your hand, classly looking, built in wireless(wifi
and bluetooth i think)
you should be able to run a distro on it, as it is pretty much standard pc
hardware.

the only problem is the cost should set you back around £1600, but to my
knowledge its the smallest full pc you can get commercially.

You could also check out the sony U series.

Hi;
I have a Sony U3 with an extended battery that should fit your needs. Small,
light, XP Pro English, ethernet, PC Card slot, memory stick reader, Crusoe
chip,512 meg RAM, 20 gig hard drive. Google it for pictures. Came from
Singapore. Willing to sell if you are interested. BTW, the battery will last
for 6 hours on a charge!

That's one of those little PDA-like units? Those are really cool, how
much are you offering yours for? They are very expensive when you try
to buy them new over here.
