Hi,
My recorded tv shows skip in audio and video. I contacted Dell and he gave
me a link toi install that follows. Can anyone help me with this issure?

To resolve the issue with the skipping audio, I would first of all request
you to download a utility can be used to set secondary IDE CD-ROM and DVD
devices back to a UDMA mode after the Operating System (WindowsXP) has set
the device to PIO mode. By this download the dma (direct memeory access) of
the CD or DVD drive would be enabled so there will have greater buffering.
Please refer to the link given below and download the utility by clicking on
download now option.

This did not help.
Thanks.

I have no idea why anybody at Dell would think that changing the properties
of a CD Rom drive would have anything to do with the playing of recorded TV.
Do you have any problem with Live TV?
Have you checked recently to see if your HDD should be defraged?
