Hello Sally,
Click on start and drag the favorites icon from the start menu on to the
desktop. If you do not have the favorites icon on your start menu, right
click on the start button, select properties and click on 'Customize', flip
to the advanced tab and put a check next to 'Favorites menu'. OK your way
out. This should put the favorites item on the start menu.
