Zen Cart is the next generation of osC, which is no longer maintained.
I have done many extensions for osC and, as a PHP developer, I think
the system works pretty well, although there's a bit of a learning
curve if you want to create modules for it. It's quite simple to
install and use if you dont' customize it.
