Please log in for more thread options Interesting, but running the restore: nothing was removed.
Seems you can also open Control Panel - go to the And/Remove programs (make
sure you click the show updates option at the top of the window) At least
here in Denmark (Danish XP Home) this update was numbered (KB925902). Remove
it and your system should start without the error. But ms should provide a
fix for the fix this as it was supposed to fill a securiy hole.
PS! I haven't seen problems even I just removed the error message and
continued to work on the PC. So if you delete the update then follow Sean's
advice to disable automatic update but be careful out there on the internet
until a fix is provided
