 how to create a shared ftp in windows 2003 server?

i can create a shared ftp in windows 2000 server as different userid can
access different directory and apply their own permission.

e.g:

d:\ftp (everyone)

d:\fileroot\user1
d:\fileroot\user2

user1 and user2 has their modify permission for their own directory.
and I create a ftp site with d:\ftp directory and no "Write" permission,
then create a virtual directory for each user

it works on windows 2000 server, how to do that in windows 2003??

 I suggest the following.

D:\FTP (Everyone/LIST or READ)
D:\FTP\fileroot\user1 (User1/MODIFY)
D:\FTP\fileroot\user2 (User2/MODIFY)

D:\FTP would be your virtual and physical root folder.

For IIS 6, you can even restrict the access further by using FTP user
isolation.
Google microsoft.com for more info.
