Not sure if this is the right place.

Through blood sweat and tears, I was able to pull a new cable line and two
CAT5 cables (from phone box) to inside of house. I'm in a 3BR house and was
thinking of rewiring again. But I don't want to go through the the pains
again, or at least avoid them. I was curious, could I get a switch and put
it inside where the phone lines come in, and run lines from switch to each
room? I also have DSL. Is this possible?

Thanks.

Where is your DSL modem? Inside the house, right? If so, then you should
have a firewall/router at the same location, connected to the DSL modem.
From the firewall/router you can then run the CAT 5 to your different rooms.
Or, get a wireless firewall/router and bypass CAT 5 altogether.
