I recently had my computer reformated and reinstalled the original software
to bring the computer up to its original state. I have installed microsoft
security updates with no problem but when I try to install service pack 2, it
says that the service pack does not support my current service pack. I am
using windows XP home addition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

From what I can tell there is no service pack listed. This being the case,
should I try to find and install service pack 1 followed by 2? Sorry, did
not know which area to place post.

There is no need to install SP1 before SP2.

SP2 contains everything that is in SP1. Don't bother wasting your time
installing SP1 first.
