Re: SafeGuard Easy and BootMagic?
BootMagic usurps the boot program area (first 460 bytes) of the MBR. If
SafeGuard also usurps the MBR's bootstrap program then they won't
together - unless SafeGuard supports chaining of MBR bootstrap programs.
SafeBoot does. It moves the current MBR bootstrap program out but keeps
it, puts its own MBR bootstrap program in place, and when you boot you
first get SafeBoot's MBR program which then hands off to the prior MBR
bootstrap program. If SafeGuard can't do this chaining then you'll have
to decide whether you want SafeGuard or BootMagic (or anything else that
uses the MBR bootstrap area, like other boot managers, GoBack, disk
overlay managers, etc.).
