your argument lacks any substance apart from that which smells

However, when I ran a system with win/98 a memory management
add on which stopped it crashing regularly as its main problem was it
does not release memory after a program has terminated.  It made a
big difference, but a better solution was to use Win 2000 which can
manage its memory without help.

No doubt there are dubious products out there, Spinrite is not one
of them - it works and earns its keep.
