I have seen and herd a lot about writing articles for traffic. For


Has anyone had any experience or positive results from this or is it a
spammy waste of time?
Does it really generate links?  Does it generate traffic that leads to
As a general comment: So many of the articles seem so basic but do not
give you anything new.

and more but trying to find the time to write them is the problem.
they do get read, so we might assume that they generate a little
traffic, just how much PR is left to benefit me is moot because
there's links all over the shop.

But it's good to do because you learn in the doing, which is always
useful if you want to go up a stage and try for one for the more
prestigious article distributors. Should I , shouldn't I,....

Articles were/still are? a good source for links pointing to your site.
But I predict that the value and number of links in Google's algorithm
will go downhill. The SEM reason for writing articles, enticing people
to use your services, will ALWAYS be valuable. I can see Google
counting only one copy of the article as a link back to your site, but
you would have to think about if your site was found on something
important as CNN or something else newsworthy. Would Google only
'count' copies of articles from 'certain' sources? For example a high
PR site?
