trying to check the links across my site www.nemarkmedia.co.uk and it
says all the links are broken despite my being able to navigate to
every page? i suspect its because im using shtml files (to include
generic SSI elements such as navs etc) anyone give me a second opinion
or point me to a tool that works?

The W3C link checker <http://validator.w3.org/checklink/ reports a lot
of '403 Forbidden' errors. This is probably caused by a bad server
configuration or server-side code, which causes this bad behaviour for HEAD
requests (which the linkchecker uses - in contrast to browsers which make
GET requests).

I use Xenu, which works great. I use SSI on all my sites & XENU doesn't have
a problem with that at all.

It will list SSI include files as "orphans," however, so if you run the
orphans report, take it with a grain of salt.
