Why has google dropped my page content?

Hello -

A few days ago, Google dropped all the content from my website Mainly
Mountains (http://www.sgurr.co.uk/mainly/index.html ) from its indexes. The
page URLs are still in Google, as indicated by
ch, but none of the content has been indexed, which is strange, because the
site has been fully indexed by Google for the last six months.

Even stranger is that all the indexed content from the site's previous URL
http://www.frieth.demon.co.uk/ has just reappeared in Google - this domain
ceased to exist 6 months ago.

It's almost as if Google have restored part of their index from a
6-month-old backup.

Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour before?

Yes I've noticed strange spiderings from google. I've had a 301 redirect
from an old site that was redirected several months ago and google has been
looking for pages that have not existed for some time. I just thought it may
be trying to clear out some of its cached pages

People are saying that things are going back to a similar state to
around the time of the Florida update. That's more like a year than
six months but there you go.
