I look after a successful website in www.irishtrading.co.uk and another in
www.irishtrading.ie but also our company has www.irishtrading.com
I would like to move all to the .com but am a little worried that the search
engine ratings will be affected.
How does one move over without affecting any search engine ratings since I
am getting very good hits.
Could it be that there is a link from each page which redirects to the .com
Thanks if you can help and thanks if you cannot.
Re: .whatever to .com
Do you mean to get rid of the other domains and just keep the .com one
or keep them?
Given that they all point to the one virtual server you should only be
paying for the single virt server. If they are bringing in valuable
traffic, my advice is to keep them (as long as the traffic warrents the
price). For the two domains you should not be paying more than €100
in total (well bar vat).
Your best off looking at the traffic of what each domain brings in then
making a judgement call on the expense.
