I wonder if you can help me.
I have a site that has recorded 276,803 visits this month. Looking at
the breakdown I can see that the referrals total 272,392 which is a
little short on the overall figure. Would the difference be the
number of people typing in the url directly (although that also shows
up as a referral) or is it just lost in the counting?
Second, Looking at the referring terms for the same period, I can see
the number of referrals as 2,514,895. Webtrends states that these
referrals are "Number of visitors referred to your site from the
specified search engine who used the specified keywords in their
So if a referral = a visitor then the stats don't add up.
Am I missing something here?
