them to a database, but that kind of programmatic access appears to be much
more restricted these days. BTW -- we currently use ClickTracks for log-file

1. Because of cable modems and dsl firewalls, and shared IP addresses,
there are a lot of visits that appear as "unknown" in the log under
2. You will need a more powerful log analyzer like webtrends to sort
referrals by country. They offer a free fully working trial version
but it it is expensive.
Google will probably give you the option to block countries
eventually. This has been the direction with other click-based
