My webhost allows the creation of subdomains but I'm having a problem
with it and could use some help.
For example let's say the subdomain I want to do is:
http://poodles.dogs.com and I create a folder at my dogs.com site that
is: /poodles/ and then for the re-direct address I use
The subdomain http://poodles.dogs.com re-directs okay but the problem is
the url address shows up as http://www.dogs.com/poodles/ instead of
staying as the subdomain address http://poodles.dogs.com
What am I doing wrong? How do I get the url to show up as the subdomain
address instead of the main domain adress with a subdirectory?
Re: Subdomain Help
for examples, please use example.com
I guess you're using an external redirect instead of an internal
one. Which file(s) are you modifying?
If it's a busy site it's better to modify the Apache configuration file
instead of creating a .htaccess. The former is only read when Apache
starts or receives a "reload" signal. The latter is read each Apache
sees the file as part of processing the request.
