Slowly gaining SERPs for a page?

I was wondering: do others see that a page that at first gets quite some
hits for a handful of key phrases over time seems to get hits on more
keyphrases (but related)? It's a bit of a gut feeling, have to look into
it a bit more, but I have the impression that my new pages in the
beginning get hits for a few phrases, and after some time they seem to get
more and more. I did tweak my stats reporting program (it supressed
phrases with just a few hits), so it might be me looking at my new output,
and drawing wrong conclusions :-D.

You are right, longer a page is up more likely you'll get more related
SERPs with it from Google. I think it's due to the same reason why new
sites do badly in Google, links aren't counted fully. As time passes
the PR/anchor text counts more, so you get better listings and better
SERPs without doing much.
