Pretty interesting comparison of Google, MSN, Ask Jeeves, A9 and Yahoo.

Ask Jeeves seems to be the reviewer's favourite.

a bit limited but an interesting review. MS has spent 2 years and
millions on its search so I would have expected better from their public
beta.... I mean their Operating Systems almost work at this stage. :-)

But, on the other hand, how many companies can claim to 1] have made
millions/billions and 2] "dominance" thoughts [e.g. even as flawed and
out-dated as it is - IE still remains the popular browser in use due
to smart bundling on MS's side].?

Not MS bashing but they have managed to get by on "almost work"
thoughts associated since 1995 with their offerings and still have
people lining their pockets.

One search is hardly a fair test. My own experiences put ask jeeves at the
bottom. They are still listing one of my sites that disappeared over a year
ago. The user is just hit by sponsored links for the search - hardly what
you would call a balanced offering.

AJ - is just out dated crap! Try searching for a term that has commercial
connections and see what results it dishes up then!

I believe the test involved more than one search.
