Before you will bash the methodology - data gathering was never planned
for systematic research, I was just saving SERPs for my own reference.
I am tracing several keywords, all optimized more or less using the
same techniques, although some are more linked to from outside, while
others are optimized mostly on page.
Site started on February 2nd (+/- few days)
Average SERP for the keywords traced were:
1. if the KW SERP was 1000+ it was not used for average
2. June 6th is the moment Bourbon started
3. between Aug 4th and Sep 11th SERPS were not recorded
4. only highest SERPs from different datacenters were used
5. earlier SERPs were similar to these from May
4 is important as right now I am in first ten for some of my KW on
about every second datacenter only. But it changes gradually - it
was only one or two datacenters last week.
When the Bourbon started all SERPs slipped at least 100 positions down.
Since May no huge SEO work was done on the site - some polishing
here and there, some links gathered, but it was all gradual.
