Sales by Organic Rankings

Just recently, we had several keywords move up in rank to the top 10
positions on Google & Yahoo.     We're also doing PPC ads for those
keywords.   Even though we're now in the top 10 position, we're seeing
almost no sales from the organic ranking.       I've heard from SE
consultants that the organic sales should be double that of the PPC
sales  (using same keyword going to the same webpage).   But we are not
seeing an increase and in fact have generated very few sales from the
organic listing.     Does anyone know of any statistics or research
showing the sales by ranking of keyword -- i.e.  what's the difference
in sales if you rank # 4 vs if you rank #10.

Any experience or recommendation on whether we should stop the PPC ads
and count solely on the organic rankings (if in top 10 position)?

Are you saying that your PPC ads and your organic ads are visible on
the same results pages?
