I have a site which includes (but is NOT limited to) a directory
of UNpaid, NONreciprical links on a fairly narrow topic.
I had placed a text advert at the top of each directory page, for
a relevant sponsor. It was the same text at the top of all the
pages, which then listed unique content.
I seemed to be penalised by Google, since they dumped me down to
only indexing one to three pages in that directory. My guess was
that they did it due to the duplicated text (which was only a
couple of paragraphs.)
So, now, I have removed the duplicated advert text. The only
duplicated stuff now is the navigation bar, and the fact that a
couple of words are often used in the business names in the
It is kind of like, "ABC Widgets, XYZ Widgets, Elbonia Widgets,"
etc, which wasn't a problem previously.
The directory is linked - all pages individually - from a page
that is in Google right now.
Any ideas on how long it will take for them to notice that all of
my pages have had the duplicate ad text removed? Ideally, I want
all of the directory pages back in the index.

Re: Re-Spidering Time-Frames?
You don't know that was the problem in the first place.
